Qualification and Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the Director General (Law) post must strictly meet the following academic qualifications, court experience, and competency benchmarks:

1. Academic Qualifications:
   • Degree in LL.B. and LL.M. from a HEC-recognized university.
   • Candidates possessing an LL.M. degree from a foreign university will be given preference.
2. Professional Experience:
   • At least seven (07) years’ active practice as an Advocate of the High Court.
   • Substantial litigation experience combined with transactional and corporate legal experience.
   • Preference will be given to candidates with in-house legal department experience in government departments or public-sector organizations.
3. Judicial Track Record:
   • Demonstrated litigation experience before the High Court and subordinate courts.
   • Mandatory minimum of two (02) reported judgments and representation/appearances in at least thirty (30) cases before the High Court.
4. Specialized Skillset:
   • Experience in constitutional, commercial, corporate, regulatory, employment, and public-sector litigation.
   • Strong legal research, drafting, advisory, negotiation, and case-management expertise.
   • Proven ability to lead, manage, and supervise legal departments and external counsel, formulate litigation strategies, and advise senior management.

General Terms and Conditions

• Contract Duration: Appointments will initially be made on a 02-year contract basis, extendable subject to performance and organizational requirement.
• Age Relaxation: Upper age relaxation will be admissible in light of standard Federal Government policy guidelines.
• Government Servants: Candidates currently working in Government or semi-Government departments must obtain and upload a valid No Objection Certificate (NOC).
• Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must present original academic transcripts, experience certificates, and verified documents at the interview.
• TA/DA: No Travelling Allowance or Daily Allowance (TA/DA) will be paid for tests or interviews.
